A modification of the formulary Wu ling san has been given to men with poor sperm count and poor motility (oligo- & asthenozoospermia).  9 g/day were administered orally over a period of 3 months.  The sperm was analysed prior and after the three months.  Result: Both the sperm concentration and the sperm motility were significantly increased after treatment, and the testicular artery flow improved.
