Acupuncture helps with chemo-induced neuropathy

Nineteen RCTs covering 1174 patients were included in their systematic review. The results of their meta-analysis showed that acupuncture significantly increased the effective treatment rate in CIPN, compared with either medical treatment or sham acupuncture. Acupuncture was also shown to have a good effect on the recovery of nerve conduction velocity, and on pain reduction. The most used acupoints for CIPN were Hegu L.I.-4, Quchi LI-11, Zusanli ST-36, Bafeng M-LE-8, and Baxie M-UE-22.
