Inga Heese is a qualified Doctor of Chinese medicine with over 15 years experience.

Inga specialises in gynaecology and infertility treatments including:

  • Endometriosis, dysmenorrhea (painful periods).
  • Polycycstic ovarian syndrome, no periods, irregular cycles.
  • Subfertility, either as preparation for/ alongside IVF and other assisted reproduction, or, to enhance natural fertility.
  • Recurrent miscariage
  • Pregnancy symptoms and labour preparation

Inga has also extensive experience of treating general medical conditions, including:

  • Muscular skeletal pain conditions including arthritis; neck, back and shoulder problems; repetitive strain injuries; Frozen shoulder;
  • Headaches and migraines;
  • Gastrointestinal conditions including constipation, IBS, diarrhoea and heart-burn; 
  • Skin conditions including acne, rosacea, various eczemas, both plaque and guttate psoriasis, and viral infections such as herpes zoster and warts.

Inga is working within London's leading Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine group practice, where she has been senior practitioner since 2006, and now runs her own clinic in Faversham, North Kent.

Inga studied for 8 years in order to achieve her doctorate of Chinese Medicine which included six months internship working in a hospital in Beijing, diagnosing and treating patients alongside Chinese doctors within the wards.

In 2005 Inga studied a Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Dermatology with the leading Chinese medicine Dermatologist in the West (Mazin Al-Khafaji) and she went on to work within his clinic for a further three years.

She has published and co-written numerous articles on topics including the treatment of low ovarian function in older women, and is currently editing a book on Chinese medicine and the treatment of infertility. Increasingly her focus is on achieving pregnancy naturally for couples who have found conception difficult.

2003 Bachelor of Medicine (BMed), Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

1998-June 2003 BSc (Hons) Degree with First Class Honours in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combined with Human Bio-sciences.

  • A 5-year joint degree course with Middlesex University, London, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM), Beijing, China. 
  • 2002/3 Internship at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine: XiYuan and Wangjing Hospitals: Placement within Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Gastrointestinal and Neurological In-Patients Wards & Out-Patients Clinics; including specialized Gynecological, Dermatological, Paediatric and Surgical Departments; and specialized Acupuncture In-patients & Out-Patients Wards.
